I’ve always loved singing. Even as a child I loved music and I’d be singing at any opportunity; at home, in school choirs, my first stage performance aged 13, to piano and singing lessons at the Manchester School of Music; I was, and still am impassioned! At college I studied A level music and achieved grade 5 singing and grade 6 piano exams with the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music. When working as a secretary, I continued singing lessons in my spare time. I was soon entertaining as a soloist or backing singer and singing with a band or keyboard player in a duo. I became lead singer in an original guitar-based pop band, performing at places like The Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Band on the Wall in Manchester and The Witchwood in Ashton. I found a fabulous tutor who I’ve studied with for over a decade. My voice is soprano and with superb classical training, I honed the skill of stage performance while gaining further examinations and achieving two diplomas. I obtained a great deal of experience, acting and singing elegant, beautiful songs and arias from musicals, operas and operetta in English, French, German and Italian. I have entertained with classical performances at many charity events, fund-raising concerts, corporate events, numerous wedding ceremonies and church services.
